Play For a Cause

Auction Guide

We’ve highlighted the main points for you to understand everything about auctions at Play for a Cause.

- Remember that to place a bid you need to be logged into the system and have your card verified.

- Bids exceeding the maximum increment value relative to the previous bid will give Play for a Cause the right to contact the responsible party for validation.

- All offers on our platform are binding, irrevocable, and final, and obligate the purchase of the shirt if your offer is the highest bid when the sale is officially closed. Otherwise, in addition to a fine of 30% on the unfulfilled amount, legal measures will also be taken to prevent that user from engaging in such acts again. A user who engages in this type of action is not only harming the operation of the auction, but also hundreds of young people and children who depend on our work to gain access to a better quality of life.

- If an attempt at fraud is proven, the user who commits it will no longer be able to participate in the auction; their account will be blocked, and the bid will be disregarded.

- If fraud is proven after the deadline, Play For a Cause reserves the right to reopen the auction and set a new end date, at the value of the bid prior to the detection of fraud, or we will make the item available for sale again at a direct purchase and send more information via email. In all cases, we will send more information by email to all users participating.

- An auction ends at its defined time or 5 minutes after the last bid, whichever occurs first. For example, if an auction is set to end at 12 PM and a bid is made at 11:59, the auction will extend for another 5 minutes and so on. This process continues until no more bids are made in the last two minutes. Among the objectives of this initiative is the intention to ensure that potential buyers do not miss the auction due to internet connection issues.

- If the site experiences instability during the closing of an auction, Play For a Cause reserves the right to change or extend the duration of the auction on the platform so that no one is harmed. In all cases, we will send more information via email to all users participating. If the auction is closed during the instability period, Play For a Cause reserves the right to reopen the auction, without any changes to the bids, and reschedule a new end date. Again, we will contact all participants with all details and information.

- Ensure that your internet connection is stable, as network instability can result in slow page updates! We recommend accessing the site from a desktop/laptop rather than a mobile phone.

- In the last minutes, always refresh the page to ensure that the bids are updated!

- Bids placed in the last two minutes add 5 minutes to the clock! Therefore, we recommend that when the clock runs out, refresh the page again to confirm the closure and the winning bid.
