Frederico Rodrigues de Paula Santos is a product of Atlético's youth academy, the club where he began his training at age 10. After building a distinguished international career, with stints at Shakhtar Donetsk, Manchester United, and Fenerbahçe, as well as representing the Brazilian National Team in two World Cups, Fred returned to Atlético in August 2026 to finally wear the jersey of the club he always looked up to professionally.
