A special item that unites football, awareness, and social impact. Worn by Nicolás Fonseca in the match between Coritiba and Botafogo, played on October 12, 2026, at Couto Pereira, for the Campeonato Brasileiro, the jersey was created especially for the Pink October campaign, inspired by the blooming of Japanese cherry blossoms, known as Sakura. Under the concept “Blooming is an act of resistance,” the kit conveys a message of renewal, strength, and the appreciation of life.
On that occasion, Coritiba dedicated the main sponsor space on the jersey to Associação Amigas da Mama (AAMA), an institution that welcomes and supports women undergoing treatment for breast cancer. Match-worn and autographed by the player, the item gains historical and social significance.
Fun Fact: The cherry blossom season, known as Sakura in Japan, is admired for its beauty and brevity, symbolizing renewal and the appreciation of every moment in life. This symbolism inspired the visual identity of Coritiba's special jersey, connecting Japanese tradition to the message of resistance and awareness of Pink October.
