This lot brings together a statue of Gustavo Kuerten honoring his Roland Garros victory, accompanied by an official Wilson Roland Garros 2000 tennis ball, both autographed by Guga himself.
The ball has a particularly significant connection to the Brazilian's career: it was in 2000 that Guga won his second Roland Garros title, defeating the Swede Magnus Norman in the final. That same year, the native of Santa Catarina reached the top of the world rankings, becoming the first Brazilian in history to hold the ATP number one spot.

Guga won three Roland Garros titles, in 1997, 2000, and 2001.
